I loved my old Kona Fire Mountain with exactly the same frame as you have got, but this was back in 1991.
Please feel free to take the pizz at the picture below !
Spec (as I remember) was :
DX chainset, LX front mech, XT rear mech, mavic rims on LX hubs, original bars/seat/seatpost, stem not sure.

I have one of these frames hanging in my shed, nicest kona colour ever!
I also was going to go period correct with the original exage 300LX but I cannot seem to find a donor bike with the groupset :? proving very difficult. I have had to settle for a deore II groupset from a fisher hookooekoo which I picked up for peanuts locally yesterday. it will have to do until I can find a suitable 300LX groupset :roll:
Look forward to seeing the project build up over time
