Kona confusion

Hi all, I don't know if any one can help but I have recently bought a kona lava dome, or so I was lead to believe it was. the frame and forks are purple at the rear and silver front, but it has an inch headset. can anyone shed some light on this

Sounds like one of these:
a 93 Fire Mountain )( the Hahanna and FM shared a frame with a 1" headset but different colours.

Very nice, 399.00 original retail.

Guess it depends how "purple". The Lavadome was blue - http://www.retrobike.co.uk/gallery2/v/M ... 9.jpg.html but if faded/odd lighting...

True but the Lavadome in that year /scheme ( and I am pretty sure that the silver/colour fade jobs were only on the 93 year ) was a 1 1/8 headset. Of course there may have been some spec variation during the year. (My FM was specced with Bonty rims but came with RM17s.)

Thank you all very much for your held, I now do think it is a fire mountain as it is proper purple in the rear and still has some remains of lx parts, Thanks
