Kona Chopper

When they started doing bikes like this you kind of knew they were really in decline.

Bah humbug

Re:

True - that - although I do have one (and the 'Joe' chopper they did later) - hanging from the rafters somewhere in the loft. The HotRod was pretty much unridable with the standard swept bars - so I had to change these for a Schwinn lower version of the powder-coated black ape hangers like the Joe had and it looked better too (although that is very much in the eye of the beholder) - its a beast that only goes in a straight line too - despite having the wildest set of Project II's made. As a 'collectable' if you can store one - you can't go wrong at £120quid that one sold for! (these retailed at £700 when they were out), but don't expect to a) ride it more than about a mile without a bad back, or b) win any friuends against die hard fans of Joe Murray originals (and yes, I prefer riding my completely original 1992 HeiHei - so not all my Konas are "sad" before anyone comments). Well spotted though.
