I see no evidence there that it's an Explosif Pro. The Explosif Pro deal included a custom paint job in the colour of the purchaser's choice, so it would seem odd for the choice to be black, which was a standard colour in 1992.

I see no evidence it isn't.

Black was the off the peg standard option for the Pro, other colours where a custom choice (I assume you paid for that).

But they're the same frame iirc and just what was hanging off it that made it the 'pro'

So to me it is and isn't

but looking at the original advert, it has more in common with the Kona XT I do not know the difference in these 'Explosif' frames between 91 and 92)

The description given of the complete bike when that was for sale from another seller didn't make it sound like an Explosif Pro, nor did he claim it was one.

Unlike this one, all of the genuine 92 Explosif Pros that I have seen utilised 1991 frames with brazed-on seat clamps. However I don't know whether that was true of all Explosif Pros.

This new seller is one whose descriptions have to be treated with care in my opinion. Having bought one item off him, I wouldn't buy another. But he does quite well and seems to have got his price in this case.
