Klien BB bearing

what always sucked with this design was that any sideways impact (minor crash etc) would hit the axle & mess up the crank position & therefore f.mech adjustment. the cook bros/ fat chance style with lockrings worked a little better.

Hello Bud

I used to have a couple of the same Team Colour Attitudes as you, and as for taking the BB out ! Well that so called specialist tool is a slide hammer !! Basically it threads into your BB spindle tight then you gentle slide the weight back and fourth and it slowly draws thew spindle out then bearings to follow !! Easy as pie!! Jut make sure when putting the new back in you use a suitable type of Loctite !!

Changed mine for new bearings and a Ti spindle !! Big weight saving !!

Easy job though so no worries !!

p.s Forgot to mention !! Fitting your new bearings are easily press fitted ( best way) ! If not then carefully and evenly tapped in with a light hammer and a block! ! Pressed is adviseable !!
