Klein V-brake Adaptor

no, it was a Klein specific adaptor/cable stop so that the 94-96 Gradient tubed frames could accept V-brakes. those frames have a hump style cable exit against which the adaptor snuggly fits. not to be used on the older frames.

Out of interest, why do you say not to be used? In a detrimental context, or just cos they weren't designed for the older vintage?

the steel noodle will cut into the top tube on the older frames as there's nothing the adaptor can rest against.

Which is what seems to have happened on my frame, not too bad though.

Which brings me on to another question - what kind of touch up paint do you recommend for the area in/around the cable exit hole? Was just going to get some white car touch-up paint - but any better suggestions?

Dave.
