Hi all
I would like to mount a Cook Brother crank RSR 110 BCD 175 mm on a Klein Attitude.
Rear and front mech will be Shimano M900
Does anybody know what kind of axle I need to mount it, especially what axle length can fit ? 117 mm, 125 mm ?

I really need your specialist's help before to do a disaster.

Any help will be apreciated.

Re:

what length was the original axle ... as that's probably a good start for determining the size of your replacement one.

Re:

Hi k-rod
I want first to thank you for your gentle help

previous axle length is 108 mm (probablely fitting for Shimano M900 if I don't mistake, right ?)
and I would like to know what kind and what length axle I need for RSR Cook Bros Crank 110/74 BCD ??

Will I have to change also the whole bottom bracket (sealed cartridge and cups) ?

Waiting for your answer

Best regards

I'm afraid I personally cannot give you a knowledgable answer for that one, but it sounds as though you are changing the configuration of the crank set-up ... which then will have some bearing on the final positioning of the chain-rings relative to your drive-train.

Hopefully one of the more expereinced/learned experts on here can help you with that ...

Re:

Hi k-rod
You did what you could.
No problem.
I have seen a lot of builds on Retrobike with these cranks so somebody must know what axle I have to use.
I will go on with my search.....
Thank you k-rod

Re:

Hi X-bike

I suppose your attitude is a pre-trek one (1990-1996)
Both MC1 and MC2 attitudes use the Klein press fit BB system instead of the standard threaded system , and you have to change the spindle to 117mm length one in both cases .
Anyway , changing the bearings is strongly recommended whenever handled the BB .

I hope to have been helpful :D
Best regards

You made me progress in my project.

So if I understand well spindle will be 117 mm /22
And you recommend me to change also the bearings.

And now last question : where do you recommend me to buy these items ???
Ebay, Phil wood, here on Retrobike ?
