NOW SOLD.

Klein Attitude from 1991 in Klein's medium size also known as 20". It has the rigid Uniklein forks and Mission Control 1 bar stem combo with the Klein embossed top headset seal. The headset bearings are smooth as they were replaced not long ago. It has no dents or cracks and has only suffered a small amount of chain suck.

The bottom bracket is not currently fitted but will be re-fitted before sending with new bearings. I have a coulpe of axle lengths that I can fit upon request or I can fit an axle that you may already have and wish to send to me to fit. I have the proper original Klein bottom bracket tool set to carry this out the correct way, no unecessary stress or shock loading to the bottom bracket area with hammers here. The original Anti-chain suck device will be supplied but is currently not fitted.

This needs a repaint either in the current original colour scheme of Backfire or a colour of your choice, of course. The paint is actually still really bright but has suffered sticker burn. Also it has oxidising under the paint around the bottle cage mounts and on the section behind the bottom bracket. There was a 2mm fracture on the rear of the seat tube which I have had reparied by an Aerospace and Marine welding company, which is why the paint has been removed in this area and the rear drop-out, this was to give a clean area of the frame for the earth during the welding process.

The MC1 had been cut down but I have had that returned to its original full width of 580mm. This was done by fitting two aluminium tubes, each with one end recessed, into both ends of the bars and then welded all the way round.

The frameset will come with a new set of cable liners and a new Klein chain stay protector, to be fitted post paint.

The wheels and seat/post/QR are not included.

Payment via Paypal Money to Friends or add the cost of fees please.

Cheers, Ash.

Nice! I have the missing 3hole AntiChainSuck if the buyer needs it.

Good luck with the sale

It's not missing, see end of paragraph 2, just not pictured

Thanks though, Ash.

Decided to release the beast eh? Good luck with the sale. I can vouch for the repair work as I have seen it close up.

I didn't know you had bottom bracket fitting skills Ash - I'll file that away for future reference :)

Hi Rob,

Got the tool set a month or so ago and have changed a few already, I will be putting up a thread at some point to show what's involved for anyone interested.

Also considering offering the service to anyone that can't find a competent local bike shop that have the correct tooling, I know that some will do the job but the alternative way! As an aircraft fitter I personally never attempt any job without the correct tools.

Cheers, Ash.
