I’ve got an x small 1990 Attitude frame only and deciding how to build it. Unfortunately i’m not up to speed on Kleins regarding headset and BB sizes and struggling with options.

I’m hoping someone can correct me /advise me on the following 2 options to make sure my understanding is correct:

Option 1:
I bought a headset adapter that means I can use a 1 1/8” aheadset and conventional forks and stem. Is it as simple as that?

Option 2:
Use an “original” headset (is this a 1.25” threaded??)
Buy suspension forks (not going to seek out rigid forks as my son will need some comfort).
Am I looking for 1.25” threaded eg original Mag 20/21, Manitou 1 or 2s or Pace rc35? Or do i need a special sized steerer?

For the stem, presumably any quill stem thst is designed to fit a 1.25” headset? Or is it a proprietary size?
Or is MC1 the only option?

Also, are there different size quills on MC1s?
If anyone could confirm the physical diameter of the Attitude’s MC1 then that would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi, I have some MC1 headset adapters so you can use a standard 1 1/8th fork.
That’s probably the cheapest and easiest way!
