Kirk Revolution

"No overseas bidders"

If he wants to sell it, that means he doesn't want to own it anymore. What gives this guy the right to decide in which country the bike will end up?

It's an annoyance when sellers on eBay are in my mind too lazy to be bothered to even send something within the UK, therefore I think you'll find it harder to get someone to post overseas.

I find that US sellers are more prepared to post oversea's and the good thing with that is they get a wider audience.

Anyhow there are 2 other Kirk's on eBay at the moment:

The first guy is prepared to post within the UK so if you are after a Kirk perhaps he will ship overseas, other than that he may be prepared to send it a 3rd party address and they could post it on or someone here on the forum might be able to collect and post to you.

When you click on links to various merchants on this site and make a purchase, this can result in this site earning a commission. Affiliate programs and affiliations include, but are not limited to, the eBay Partner Network.
I'm interested in a Kirk indeed, but TBH I've heard too many horror stories about them. If I can grab one really cheap, I'd probably go for it tho.

The thing that got me responding here is merely the posting thing, not the bike itself. The seller is prepared to post if the buyer arranges a courier and packing materials. Then on the next line he mentions "no overseas bidders".
That kinda makes it clear that he wants the bike to stay within the UK, which is ridiculous.
If you're selling it, you have no right to decide where it'll end up.

Had a similar issue when I wanted to bid on an Sbike, and that one still infuriates me.

Raging Bulls,

I simply cannot understand in this case that the seller says "provide your own packing materials" what sort of thing is that to ask, if you are prepared to post at least pack the damn thing at least!

I don't know if you've found this site before but it seems to give a whole load of interesting information, hostory and talks about the problems.

I sincerely hope this bike goes overseas and never sets tread on Blighty's fine soil ever again.

Well, it's already above what I'm prepared to pay for a Kirk. Otherwise I would have asked you to pick it up and ship it to me.
I would have taken a pic of the bike in front of the Atomium (the monument in Brussels) and sent it to the seller.

No probs but check the first of the other 2 links as the bike is currently £63 plus postage so it might make it a viable option if the seller will ship to you directly.
