That bike does not deserve to be stripped of parts! Just look at it and think whether you would be happy butchering such a great looking machine!

seat post is 27mm headset is 1"1/8th full dx inc hubs
you are right, there is more money in it to strip however it is in great condition and works very well as it is, cant be many left in this condition,
must be worth £200+
poor condition frames, without the front mech make £50+ on the bay not inc the fork.(mine is mint)
then there is the groupset which is mint.
and then the syncros kit :?
however it is what it is worth to you that matters so as i said i am open to offers.

we sold hundreds of these bikes/frames in the 90`s from dawes nearly every one broke internally ,something inside broke(just push the bb with your foot)and check the flex.There flexy anyway but some move loads.
