Killer V Headset

Headset for my mates Killer V

My mates got a 94(?) Killer V which I specced up, but he bought (I bought a P7 instead). He still loves it and its in great shape, but the headset could do with replacing. He's been advised to shim it and get a modern headset because the 1.25" sets aren't available.

Thoughts please?!

Threaded headsets are available on ebay and occasionally on here.

Aheadsets are more rare - am searching for one myself.

fairly easy to convert a threaded headset to ahead. just machine off the top race threads and use the conical washer you have already

or buy a King.................................

That assumes you already have a conical washer. I've got a fork and frame but and threaded headset but no washer.....

I know I could get threads cut into my ahead fork but that sounds expensive/a faff too.
