Kids helmets - advice - help - argh

OK, so we bought a Giro flume for our lad at Christmas, with a particularly apt paint job for a lad with a "fire chief's bike" and a bit of a fire engine fixation (I should point out here that he's four...). This helmet to be precise: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... TQ:GB:1123

So, the problem is that it's turned out to be too small, even though his head measured to 57cm. Seller is being fantastic (highly recommend them so far, btw) and happy to take the return, exchange, whatever.

Problem I'm finding is a helmet with quite such a cool paint job in the 57cm+ size range. Anyone know of anything? Quite urgent as could do with getting him something so he can get out and about again (mainly out of the house as he's getting quite quick now...). Did see the ultra cool dinosaur based ones on here a month or so ago but from memory they were all too small.

Any advice gratefully recieved!

Thats adult sized helmets. Id suggest looking at those?

How about getting him one "Just like Dad's?" "What a grown up lad, a crash helmet just like mine," etc, etc.

That would certainly have worked with Charles when he was that age.

The listing you showed goes up to 57cm.... That's pretty much adult size (I'm a 58 iirc) have you let out the roc loc thingy on the back? Just wondering....

Good thought and an easy on to miss but yes, 'fraid so. Stupid thing is his sister is 3 years older and hers fits her perfectly.

Might just have to restort to either buying myself a new one and him as well or buying an airbrush and a plain coloured one... neither bodes well

Just thought I'd update you and say cheers for the advice. Bought the medium BBB (as it goes up to 58cm) and fits like a dream. Young Skywalker went for the blue/black option though, so wondering about Syth tendancies.
