I think it’s toast due to brake wear but if anyone wants I will post at cost... or pick up s Devon. send me a PM

I think some campag rims were concave to start with. Doesnt make it easy to assess wear though.

Looks like a Mirox. I worked on the 'Campag rims are concave' principle when I bought them. They then became very concave indeed as the entire bead edge bent outward under tyre pressure. I'd say your wear is about terminal.

I took your advice and bought an Iwanson gauge... as you say, was cheap enough, and should come in handy.

Actually though it's no good for measuring wear on these rims due to the overall construction/internal profile. :facepalm:

My gut feeling though from checking what i can with the tool is that the rim probably has a fair bit of life left in it. I should have left it in one piece... it's probably too rough to be worth the effort pf building up, what with the corrosion to eyelets etc...

Oh well, live and learn.
