xt brake/lever combo bought as working, never used, shifting seems incomplete, sticking?

M750 shifter combo, LH won't shift to 3rd, RH gets 4 clicks and slow/sticky to release
M310 RH 7sp all ok
M370 working, no indicator
M510 broken, no clicks
M510 RH seems ok maybe, drops back through all ok, not sure if it goes up through them properly, no indicator
M740 LH all ok
M750 LH working, no window

I'm interested in the shifters. What do you mean by the shifting seems incomplete on the xt combos? Is this on both shifters or just one?
