JMC jersey?

So I’ve been to buy a couple of bikes tonight and whilst talking and dealing the guy says “have I heard of Jason Mcroy?” He then tells me that he knows Jason’s dad and he gave him one of JMC jerseys years ago. The area matches up in terms of where he lives and we travelled past JMC memorial on the way so it could be true.

Any thoughts ?

I'd have to agree with Longun, you'd have been able to buy a generic Specialized top but the Hardisty addition marks it out as a JMC. No other Specialized contracted rider would have also had Hardisty so they would not have included it on generic kit IMO.

That’s pretty cool then actually. I’ve searched for pics and found one of him wearing a jersey which looks the same but picture isn’t good enought to say for sure.

Like I said the area matches , and dates too but I didn’t have enough knowledge to say for sure. Size wise it’s probably about right too.

I knew he was a rider for a bike shop , but couldn’t of told you it was Hardisty cycles. And to be honest didn’t think that would be the thing to link it to him but now it’s been pointed out

100% that's one of Jason's jerseys, he made Specialized put the Hardisty logo on when he was first picked up by them in '94 as a thankyou to the Hardisty family for their help and support in getting him to the point he had a big sponsorship!

I have a short sleeved race suit on loan from Pete Tomkins at the mo and it is exactly the same!

Is it for sale, definitely not asking for a friend

That’s pretty cool then. It’s in decent condition too so I’m guessing hardly been worn over the years.

I may be tempted to sell to the right home lol
