a white dude with swing! Very nice, I shall enjoy that later, cheers. Some nice pluckin' from Israel too.

Might be a bit of a cliche but I think Miles' Blue in Green is the most beautiful piece of music ever played, Evans touch and placement is just perfect. :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GnDwgRgpYcE

it is! I don't know that much contemporary things, its all about the classics, oscar peterson, cannonball adderley, coltrane, miles davis, ella fitzgerald, billie holiday, thelonious monk and many more;D

A piano teacher of mine used to take a few of us to Ronny Scotts to show us how he used to play. He was a black South African that learnt his licks in 1960s' Cape Town. Performing for the Whites in the jazz clubs he earnt enough to get to the UK where he married and became a teacher. Amazing man whom I admire for his courage and skill. He married an opera singer who had her own career and success.

I have heard since he left his wife in the late 90's and returned to South Africa.
