I'm throwing this one up just because it had great heritage. GT sponsored the Lotto-Adecco road team in 1999 and after their financial issues under Schwinn lost that to Litespeed in 2000. The ZR road bikes were called ZR as an acronym for "Zaskar Road". These frames were the same as the ZR 1.0 platform...TIG welded from Easton Taperwall custom butted 6061 tubing and were extremely light. This one I have pictured I picked up as a frame and built with 6500 Ultegra for my younger son. The article at this link describes what the replacement GT regime went through to get this valuable team sponsorship and GT's limelight in the then UCI Worl Cup and Tour De France in 2000.
