Isthis Trek safe?

Just been to collect this 8000SL frame witha few bits attached. Didn't notice the gouges each side. Still I've got some LX STIs, ream mech and front mech.

Not in Aluminium in my opinion, if it was steel I might ride it.

I wouldn't be worried riding that. The gouges look mostly cosmetic and shallow in the pictures.

Depends on what you are going to use the frame for, gentle trails or commuting maybe ok ( keep an eye for cracks developing) but i would'nt fancy blasting it down a rough decent.

If the drive side has worn through I would not ride it :? (maybe on the road)

It's worse on the non drive side, that's deeper. The drive side looks messier, but the gusset to the brunt of the wear.
Damn.
