Is Miche Primato a different size?

I'm talking wheel nuts. I have an old axle in the spares box but it is too big so the nut just slides on rather than screwing on. Doed this mean the spare is from an MTB or is Primato a smaller size anyway?

Is my local Raleigh dealer likely to have a spare that fits?

Maybe you're trying to screw a rear track nut onto a front axle ?
