International parcels

Got an item, 18" x 6" x 7", weighing just under 3.5kg that I may need to send to the Netherlands.

Parcelfarce are quoting in excess of £30.
Parcel2go are just under £22

Sounds a bit high for a relatively small item.....

Any other suggestions?

I just sent a full bike to France, weighing circa 20kg 130cmx70cmx25cm for the princely sum of £48. And two quid of that was additional payment to cover insurance value of the bike...

Try interparcel......

£16+vat (£18.80) they're quoting..

It's something to do with volumetric blah blah.. the dimensions indicate a weight that's less than the actual weight, or something. .

Looking at a fiver-ish to send it over here.. seems quite disproportionate..

Won't be me that's paying it though, that'll be the ebay seller if he agrees to my postage estimate of £20+

And now I've sent stuff with interparcel, I've created an account and all future shipping with them will net me a percentage discount on the total bill.

Can't moan @ that....!
