Inner Tube Advice 'WANTED' !

Devout Dirtbag
Greetings team,

Just had Paul Hewitt build a new pair of wheels for my wife's Kona Kilauea.
Mavic 'sunsets' and TNT ti hubs bought right here and laced up with sapim x-ray/cx-ray spokes and alloy nipples. They're beautiful and light.

Unsurprisingly Paul scoffed at the Continental Sport Contact tyre/tube combo given the effort put into the wheels!
I'm changing tyres to folding Schwalbe Kojaks and need light tubes covering the 26" x 1.3" size......but what to buy and where from?
So far my investigation has been fruitless; hence returning to the immense 'retrobike' knowledge pool.
Any assistance would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Schwalbe make 26x1-1.5" tubes - they were the only tubes we could find in that size when we were looking for some a while back.

It's the trade off really..with kojaks offering little or no puncture protection then if weight is your issue your not going to get slime filled tubes as they are heavier.

Have you tried the weight weenie section at the bottom of the forum?
They even have a inner tube section

Many thanks for all who have contributed.

Weight is an issue in as much as there's no point investing a tidy sum in fast, dream wheels then chucking a load of weight right where it's not wanted. ;)

The Continental tip might be very useful since I cannot find a seller of Schwalbe tubes in an appropriate size....perhaps someone here knows otherwise?

Thank you once again.

Kojaks have a RaceGuard protection belt, or so the schwalbe site says.

there is also a list off all the inner tube, they don't seem to do a 26" one in the lighter versions.

EDIT, remembered the name now couldn't find them on ebay before.
You could try the FOSS tube, they are rated 1.35" as per the tyres.
might want to give tintin40 a shout as I'm sure he tried them out in his tyre s or might have been WDPro
