Immaculate 2000 Manitou Mars Forks

IF this "1993 Saracen Kili-flyer" (see earlier FS Topic) IS the size I want and IF these forks are still available when I find out....then I am very interested!

I reckon 70mm travel should be short enough (I ran 100s on my current Kili and definitely did not suit the geometry).

Is the steerer alu or steel (I gather that the commonly available steerer extenders WON'T fit the former because tube walls too thick - and I'd need it longer!)?
