Strikes me that mountain bikers aren’t very well represented in the UK. IMBA is too small to be able to do all that much, CTC is big enough, but 95% of its focus is on road issues. Which is a pity as government agencies need to be able to 'consult' and if they only know CTC then for off-road issues they'll consult CTC.
I’m not a member of either, but I can’t expect issues like access and rights of way to solve themselves if there’s no effective organisation - and if everybody was like me not much progress would be made.
So I just wondered whether members on here are members of IMBA or the CTC or both or neither? And which one do you think we should join? Or not bother?
