I hate his miserable face.

I hate his monotone miserable voice.

I hate his stupid bum fluff.

I hate his air punches when he wins a point.

Murray attended Dunblane Primary School, and was present during the 1996 Dunblane massacre.[22] Thomas Hamilton killed 17 people before turning one of his four guns on himself. Murray took cover in a classroom.[23] Murray says he was too young to understand what was happening and is reluctant to talk about it in interviews, but in his autobiography Hitting Back he says that he attended a youth group run by Hamilton, and that his mother gave Hamilton rides in her car.[24]

Probably not an ideal subject for smart remarks.

Aye, fair enough. Hard to remember that a major event like that for us isn't so well known elsewhere. Sadly there have been plenty more since that day.

I made that mistake with a guy I used to work with. In the pub one day and found out he was from Dunblane so obviously asked the question. He tried to politely brush it off which encouraged me to persist with some wisecrack which went down like a rifled hippo. Only women have ever given me dirtier looks.

Only later did I find out he was in the school at the time and really didn't like to talk about it. And I still have questions. :)

A year or 2 back, I was in the pub with some clients. One of them, a right cocky little shit, made a "joke" about a helicopter that had recently gone down in the North Sea. I swiftly reminded him that 18 people had lost their lives, and pointed out that as I'm from Aberdeen it was sheer chance that none of my friends were among them. He barely said a word the rest of the night.

I've rarely been angrier, I think it was only the fact it was a client that stopped me from doing more than calling him a twat in front of his team.

Being fair Rumble, it is a fairly obscure fact to most. I made the reference in a fairly flippant way.

Hats off to the guy though, he has fought very hard to get where he is, at a very young age, and he is not from a rich family.

I am very proud of him, as everyone in the UK will be once he rises above that fairly irrelevant watermark.

He is already a tennis legend for us proud Scots.

:)

spot on good luck on friday andy :D
