ID challenge

I am trying to figure out what this fork belongs to. It is on what looks to be a Rayleigh Grand Prix, but the fork looks more of a utility model. Is there a Raleigh Road with that kind of fork that I dont know about?

Looks like the standard Raleigh cast crown used on the vast majority of Raleigh for 80 years, many millions of them. Hercules made some bikes in the 30s copying this.

Other Raleigh names did not use this.

Presumably you have the 26 TPI octagonal Raleigh headset.

Back in the 1970's we stocked "forks" (cheap from a Factors like Brown Brothers) which we used as replacements for damaged ones, much cheaper than getting the genuine replacement . Lots of odd looking and non matching forks left the shop LOL
