That's a novel idea....buying / selling / collecting. I collect bikes, I sell bikes that I'm not interested in keeping and I sometimes thin the herd. Get over it already.

I lost my job in May and have not been able to land another. I need the cash more than the bike right now so I can keep my house.

I'm all for that, and I am truly sorry that you're stuck in the unemployment lines with so many other Americans. :(

But your defensive tone is, I think, reflective that you can be, at times, less than honest about your "collecting". I mean, buying a bike that you KNOW up front is too small for you ((he Klein Test Bike)? If you collect, you'd know an Extra Small Klein wouldn't fit you. But then saying that the reason you're selling it on is because it's too small, reeks of dishonesty to me. I could be wrong, but there were other bits in that post that didn't ring true either: you're SoCal Bikes on eBay and that Attitude Test Bike was in southern CA yet you made it sound like you paid a fortune for shipping.

To each his own, I just don't know why you get so defensive about flipping a bike and why you go on and on about collecting. Perhaps our definitions of "collecting" are different. I wouldn't say that holding onto a bike for a month or 2 and then selling it on, is a definition of someone who "collects" anything whether it be bikes, paintings, stamps, etc.

Best of luck to you in your auctions.
