They don't really crack so I wouldn't worry too much

When they crack it's usually the head tube that cracks. Sometimes it's the weld at the head tube. Sometimes its the weld at the bottom bracket.

It is actually a 6061, 3.0 does that make any difference?

The IFT is a 21" so way too big for me. If anyone wants to make a reasonable offer...
