I was cycling in to work this morning across Cardiff Bay Barrage. It's the first time I've taken my newly built Zaskar out properly, even if it's only going to the office..! Anyway, I was riding along when a guy pulls up alongside me on a battered (but still nice) Kona Cindercone. He joked that my bike "won't stay that new for long", so I proceeded to tell him that it was, in fact, 19 years old - a full 2 years older than the Kona he was riding. The look on his face was priceless! We then continued to have a good old chat for the remaining mile or so, before heading separate ways. I managed to convince him to try to bring his Kona back to it's former glory and I pointed him in the direction of the one and only place to do it (no, not eBay, STW or Pinkbike). So we might have another new member signing up later to empty his wallet and fall out with his significant other 
And that little story is just one of the reasons why I love cycling!
