Hypocrite

I felt a bit bad earlier after packing the car for my Christmas missions. The other day my missis left to travel up to her folks in Cambridge over christmas. She made me carry out a bag to the car which was full of shoes and clothes. I asked 'how many pairs of shoes do you really need to take with you?' looking at the six pairs she had packed.
Tonight I packed my stuff to go up to my folks in the midlands where I will be staying until the Cannock ride. I cleaned the Pace, stripped/rebuilt the fork as the damping was doing strange things on the North Downs ride yesterday and put it in the car. A little noise in the back of my head was saying 'What if the fork plays up again, you won't be able to ride over xmas!!'... So I pack the Bontrager aswell then the little noise says 'The freewheel on the Bontrager is not too hot! What if that breaks and the forks on the pace play up!'. Realising that I cannot put the rear wheel off the pace on the Bonti as the dish is different I pack a spare rear wheel, then a couple of wheels that I'm dropping off for Wu... the result is ..

Still need to fit in the presents for family and friends

My missis had one bag of shoes... I have one boot of bikes and bits..

sod the presents! take another spare bike!! :D you never know what might happen!

went on holiday to france a few years ago, took my road bike and mountain bike, took spare wheels for both and mechs, bars, tyres, forks, rear shock, and various other spares for the mtb and was only doing xc! not even dh stuff!

didn't brake anything and didn't swap or change any part!

it's the "coz i can" attitude!

But Steve the difference is that your wife doesn't *need* six pairs of shoes! You haven't taken anything you don't need.
