How to clean aluminiun wheels from corrosion?

My old wheel have developed some light corrosion and i would like to clean them out...

I am new here, and not sure if this is in the correct area for questions...(sorry)

I find a cloth with some metal polish does the job though if it's bad then some very fine wire wool. Once they're clean give them a wipe with some light oil (just not on the braking surface)

+1 start at the finer end and work backwards on a test bit. I'd try brasso wadding first after a scrub with warm soapy water.
