There are a couple of reasonably regular female posters and a girl even turned up for the N Downs meet - shock! Sweet Kona she had, too...

She was the first to be injured it's true - secretly, I think that all the males were pleased that they weren't the first to suffer the ignominy of being the first to have to return home (or A&E, in this case)!. Obviously Hilts was a firm favourite with the bookies on that one - miracles do happen!
I might be wrong, but wasn't Sylvain the first male to 'retire' that day?? How ironic that probably the best Retro-cyclist hit the bath first!
