How much is too much; a question I would like answering by the Style Police please

I am adding a splash of red to the RTS and I need to know when to stop.

So far I have done:
Stem, Grips, Bar ends, Chainring bolts, Bottle cage & spare cage mount bolts, Brakes, Lizard Skin and Red saddle (a nice NOS Flite Max is on its way to be fitted 8) )

Do I take it any further? :? I am considering:
Mech bolts, Jockey wheel, Seatpost, Tyres etc

But, how much is too much? I have attached a current pic, and the more I look the more I think that with the red Flite on I should leave it there.

Over to you lot

more the merrier!
or
less is more!
or
too much is never enough!
etc..

personally, I just pop it on and see how it looks. Not sure I like mixing painted and rubber parts with anno of similar colours. Can be ok, but need to be careful on the colour match :)

I think red post, black saddle would be best. Defo not tyres though. My Zaskar had reached purple critical mass before i took it to pieces

Problem is i now have loads of purple and a Pace RC200 F3 that probably won't suit it (although will have to live with it or she won't get ridden).

when I choose a colour scheme I go all the way

Thats nice.....I'm slightly jealous now

I've got some yellow Wildgrippers I might slip on, to work with the yellow decals????

I reckon a red seatpost would balance it out a bit. No harm with red jockey wheels and bolts etc.

I think red tyres would be going too far though!!

I'd say yer fine, as long as all the bits are the same shade red......its mixing different colours that gets ye the 'Spirit of '92' look.......

Something wrong here Chris, you put the clothes to match your blue Yeti. So go and fetch your green jacket, green helmet and gloves. 8) Your bike is just right though

For the silver/red RTS, being myself and colour/match guy. I think the best way is not to follow a rule (more or less, painted or anodized etc.) but put it on the bike and see if it fits. The general look should speak for itself and you can see immeditely if something is wrong or not. I would also put some yellow on it and a little less red (any component with some yellow accent or logo?)
