How do I get this cassette off?

The one that's in there is 142.. give or take...

Wondering what a 170+ would be for...

Is the freewheel/cassette option governed by the hub?

This wheel is the rear for the kids trials, I'd like to get it back together so they match..

Prob do some measuring and put an ss freewheel on.. I've tried to get them to use gears but they just don't :?

And you would have to redish the wheel going to an 8spd freewheel.

also, to quote sheldon

As it turned out, the increased length of un-supported axle sticking out from the right side of the hub was just too long for traditional 10 mm threaded axles. 8-speed freewheels were sold for several years, but a very large percentage of the riders who bought them wound up having problems with axle breakage/bendage. As a result, 8-speed freewheels eventually pretty much disappeared from the market.

This is sounding more likely by the second

Are the splines like on this one?

park tool fr-1 or equivalent if so. The lockring doesn't need to be removed.

Or there is always destructive removal

That is exactly what I am facing..

And this sounds great (having just tried to clamp something in there and failed miserably).. I've not worked out how to rip the mofo off with maximum force yet :?
