How do I convince her indoors to go retro?

I bought an '89 Kona Lava Dome some years ago from a friend for my other half, but all the gearing brakes etc were knackered and it was before I discovered this place. That got stripped and then sold on.

She now rides a 2000 and something Specialized and I really want to get her a retro steed, but she thinks this whole pasion is very nerdy and isn't interested.

Suggestions please?

Offered my wife a mini Kona for Christmas......she said NO WAY.

But, having said that, she doesnt want to ride at all......
