Hope xc sticker

Hi all. I've just got a set old hope xc hubs in black.
The front one matches the blue xc hub I've had for ages in every way internally and externally (apart from the colour). The difference is the blue ones and the rear black one has the hope logo etched on to it. But the black front one has a sticker? As it's identical to the etched ones I can't see it being a copy?? Was the etching machine at hope faulty? Where some just shipped like that??

Older Hope hubs had a sticker. The early nineties hubs with the titanium centre had a simple black logo. Later hubs had the green oval Hope logo sticker.
The even later one piece alloy hubs originally had a green oval sticker, then Hope started etching the logo on instead.

I can't give any exact dates and info for all this. I'm sure somebody else can though.

Yer I have a set of the ti ones with the black stickers in my shiny cupboard .
So the front one of my black set is a earlier hub than the rear then brilliant thanks
