Hope headset - What is missing? Pics inside.

Hi guys, my frame has a hope headset fitted.

Does anyone know the name of the part missing at the top please?

Hope have diagrams on their site to help, have a look HERE

One problem with the diagrams is it includes Hope head/top cap thing, which is a fari amount of that diagram. Also it doesn't show which O-rings actually come affixed to the parts when you buy them.

I think you'll be needing a stem too.

Thank you very much for the replies chaps.

I have not got any experience with headsets but had a look at fitting forks this morning and noticed some parts were not there.

So in my picture the part which is visible in the top cup is the bearing so I need everything up listen in Fluffy Chickens post?

there maybe another o ring needed, but I don't think you actually need it.
I'm no expert on Hope headsets.

Stem also and ~2" of spare tube after all of that to clamp the stem on to.

Then a starfangled nut thing in the tube and a top cap... (or the hope head doctor or similar.)


'Aheads' are all pretty new to me.

In that diagram you need parts: 5, 6, 7, 9, 11 and 12.

12 is optional as I always used to leave it off.
