just got this back from mario vaz with plans to build my first fixed gear

also have airlite hubs on fiamme tubular rims that I got polished and built

Smart frame, nice wheels too - looking forward to this one. The frame looks quite modern even with no braze-ons, I guess that's the effect of the fillet brazing.

Nice lookin frame and forks not familiar with holdsworth and fillets brazing please tell more of the history. Like your carpet is it sisal or seagrass. You mentioned the f word. Not me cuppa but will be interesting to see finished. I'd deck with campag

Yeah I'm not a fan of fixed gear either,however the laquelda came as a fixed track or simplex?geared option. I've already got a professional and I'm midway through doing a mistral so I thought a fixed might be a bit diferent and it'll be for sale rather than for keeps.

That looks gorgeous - I can't wait to see it up and running. HAve you seen the all original La Quelda on Classic Lightweights? I'm trying to imagine owning this and your Professional at the same time. I don't think I'd get anything done - I'd just be gazing at these all day...

parts I have are a major taylor adjustable stem or gb stem, gb bars, gnutti chainset or stronglight cottered chainset and gb brakes..or i could switch to more 70's components

Should look really nice when finished, especially with those wheels.

Be careful riding fixed, you might find you like it
