Hermes (not Yodel this time)...

Sold a set of Crossmax to Fatal_Swan last week.

Got fed up of using Yodel and having problems, so I decided to try Hermes instead.

The wheels were collected just fine, but Fatal_Swan has pm'd me just now to say that the courier just chucked them over his fence without getting a signature!

Luckily the wheels were well packed, so they emerged unscathed... But that's not the point.

Are there ANY decent courier companies out there?!!?!

Strange I have used hermes several times and never had any bother with them. Did you pay the extra for signed delivery?

I'm not keen on Hermes. They were another like HDNL, right now I'd say the safest couriers are TNT and UPS.

Same here - 2 Hermes deliveries in less than a week (king duvet and cover/pillowcase set to suit) from eBay sellers and no issues on the reliability or condition of goods fronts. Mind you, I did get the stuff sent to what was blatantly a work not residential address so dunno if that may have spurred the courier in to making a decent job of things.

Used them twice for bikes and no problems

I used them initially based on other folks recommendations

I think I might specify a preference that buyers give me a work address to send things to from now on (if possible)... I've heard too many stories about various couriers chucking things over fences/over walls/through greehouses/over a neighbours fence etc...
