Help with crank offset issue on proflex frame

Hi i have a 1997 proflex 857 with a 68mm bb shell and im trying to use some truvativ square taper cranks from the year 2000. My issue is that the non drive side crank has a narrower gap from the swingarm than the drive side. Is there anything i can try so that i can get them equally spaced? It clears but is a lot closer on the non drive side and looks odd.
