Old School Grand Master
Hi everyone
Bought these 2 over the weekend
Money went to local hospice.
Just wandered if anyone here could shed some light on them
1/ Pennine From Bradford
The paint finish is very good, although the lug lining looks awfull.
Found some details of these on the classic rendezvous site.
I think it could be a Nidderdale model, mine has juy simplex rear dropouts
Frame number is 2344.Stamped on front forks, cannot see any on the frame itself.
Spoke to pennine and they said that the frame numbers are 5 digit long
1st 2 = year last 3 = frame number.
As you can seeit has undergone drastic replacements of bits,Colnago stem?????
Various 80s components. But,i have what looks like some of the original parts
Durax Super Course Cranks with Simplex Chaunrings
Simplex Rear Mech
2/ Holdsworth Bike
Bit of a mismatch here aswell
What i found was it doesn't have bottle cage mounts.
Someone has drilled and tapped the down tube to accomadate a cage
Could this be 60s.
Very nice frame with Campag ends
Hopefuly someone could tell me a bit more about them,or guide me in the right direction
Not sure what to do with them,Restore or move on
Please see photos
Thanks
Malc
