Have you thought of building a medieval rack in the spare bedroom so you can stretch youself to a healthy BMI?

al. :D

I wouldn't worry too much about BMIs' and all that BS. I'm 6' and 16st 12lb aged 47. Fitter and stronger than most people half my age. Doctor says I am very heathly and have the heart and lungs of a 20 year old. Did a lung capacity test at the local hospital as part of my yearly tests and nearly went off the scale. Only thing holding me back is Chronic Fatigue & Fibromyalgia which both knock me out when they flair up.

 What are they feeding you guys over there? Deep fried butter? No one's ever going to accuse me of being skinny, and I'm 5'9" 172 (12 and 4).

I know the feeling i'm 5'9" and 17st 2 lbs but feeling quite good on a bike at the moment.
The biggest problem being the more you ride the more you need to eat

One of the main problems with overweight and exercise is the extra pressures put on the knees, which will show itself in later years.

The good thing about cycling is that the legs and knees (also heart/lungs) work hard, but with no pounding and without the extra weight being put directly on the knees.

Bmi is a load of bollocks anyway, i have friends who are lean lumps of pure muscle who obviously screw the bmi scale.

My own bmi fluctuates all over the shop, i'm currently in the summer shedding process but around autumn i shall be piling pounds back on ready for the winter hibernation.
