Hei Hei, Hot or Explosif?

Hi chaps, looking to treat myself in the near future to a new Kona frame (for stopping smoking and turning 40). I have a 96 lava dome which I really like and the geometry suits me so my question is which of the above frames on my short list above would you guys recommend, looking about a 93 or 94 with p2's. I like a frame which is light but not too unforgiving and stiff. Not looking to buy just yet but like to have somthing in my sights.

Some might recommend a Kilauea even over a ExplosHot for certain given years.

From the way you've described your wants however, it almost sounds like you are hoping we convince you into a Hei Hei.

Tough one, I've got a Hei Hei and an Explosif and think the way forward is the Hot.

They just seem to be that much more rare.

I personally like the look of the navy kilauea from 92/93(?).
For a 40th present i'd be thinking Hot or Hei Hei.

In all my bikes, the HeiHEi is one of the faster I have riden. I don't really know if it's less stiffer than the steel frames, but I have found the same aggressive spirit than a Klein Attitude (for giving an idea), but very very more confortable.
The geometry is so fine !

If your happy with the general ride and fit then I'd look at it this way

If you want rarity..Hot
If you want Titanium...hei hei
If you want value....The Kilauea (the Kil is far better value than the explosif in my mind..think xtr and xt)
If you must have an explosif...then an explosif
