steerer is 5 mm short for my Hei Hei... :x
The steerer on these Bombers is 35mm longer...

is he correct stating 110mm? i thought they only came in 100mm, which is the max my frame will accept

Yes they were 110mm when they were first released but later you could buy an upgrade to make them 130mm.
I don't think that the 10mm extra travel will make any difference to the handling of your bike. You can always set it up with more sag anyway.
