OK, I may just be embarressing myself here but can someone please explain to me just how these forks work? I've been racking my brain trying to figure it out :?

How the hell are those brakes supposed to work on an inverted fork? Something to do with what's under the boots perhaps?

Cool looking forks, but pretty shite functionally.

These do have what appear to be the original boots though, so thats a bonus.

I believe there was a later/updated version of these forks that was actually quite a bit better, don't see them around half as often as this model though.
