Gt LTS 4, buying price??

I've been offered a GT LTS4 at a price of £160, bike is in a good condition. Is this a good price for this bike??

No it's not stolen and it's complete, hasn't had a lot of use apparently! Going to check it out tomorrow

Hi, I not sure that £160 is a bargain unless it's mint. I just bought a GT STS1 an XTR groupset in mint condition for £350. If you really want the bike then buy it, £160 for a good bike is nothing, but don't buy because you think it has any real value. I've been collecting and rebuilding GT's for a few years and have found the only ones of value are USA built ones like RTS1's, LTS1's or pre 98 Zaskars. An LTS 4 was a low end model with a low spec groupset so not worth much and wont appeal to many buyers, an RTS3 didn't get much higher than £30 on ebay recently. Buy it to ride it, but not to become a classic. Don't look at ebay to try to work out a value, because the price that someone wants, is not the real value. There's a few LTS3's on for £500, I can't see that happening.

as above, the 4 was a pretty low end model, if it were on ebay with a 99p start and no reserve in good shape it would probably go between 1 and 200 quid i would estimate.

It was way back when, but I want to say that they were only about £7-800 when new. Again though, don't be put off if it is mint. You can't buy much for that money new. Just make sure the shocks front and back as well as the bushes etc are good, because you can end up spending alot and I think you will find getting hold of bits for an LTS4 very hard. I'd hold out for an LTS1 or RTS1 at the right money, they still do come up.
