GT i-Drive Prototype

That's pretty cool looking. Like a modern slope-style bike.

Gives me an idea for maybe bastardizing some frames together to make my own in the future.

I went and saw this frame in person. It was originally for sale locally by a guy in Costa Mesa, CA. He told me that HE and his friend built this frame (not a "prototype" by GT). It very well may be some rare prototype, and Im not trying to call this guy out....it's just that the story doesn't jive with what the original owner was telling me. I would contact GT before bidding too much.

interesting...thanks for the heads up.

paging our resident GT expert, Kevin, where are you???

Same guy went fishing and posted these pictures in the GT thread at MTBR with huge claims about it being some special frame. Looks to me like a repainted smaller size I-drive that's obviously missing a shock. I don't think the guy ever did answer when directly asked for the serial number. It was also listed on craigs in So. Cal for a week or two before it appeared on the GT thread at MTBR. Not sure if the lister on eBay is the same one that had it listed on craigs or not.
