Gt Hadley hubs does anyone know much about them ?

I am wondering what free hub uou would need when they go ?

Is there a few versions of the hubs ? As I have seen some with gt engraved and then some with gt made in the USA .

One last question ok it's a long one :

Bike 1 : not really to be ridden more a team replica bike with some nos bits fitted

Bike 2 : bike for clocking up some miles

Wheels 1: mavic d521 rear xt hub front ringle Hubba hub

Wheels 2 : mavic 217 sup with gt hubs front and rear.

My dilemma is what wheels on what bike ?

I have found out that the Hadley hubs have an alloy free hub , but mines a gold finish . Does this means its a ti one ?

Also how can I fit a 8 speed cassette on a 9 speed hub ? There is some play there , does anyone know of a spacer that I need ?
