I know new parts are not to everyone's taste, but this was a new old stock frame that I sourced in mint unused condition. I thought why not give this 1998 frame a bit of a modern outlook, with modern parts. I know that may seem like sacrilege to some people but I thought it would be a shame to put tatty retro parts on such a spankinly shiny frame. (mint condition retro parts are such a nightmare to source !!) Modern parts do it better anyway.

I have taken a ride since the rebuild and I've got to say that the Reynolds frame is really reponsive and a totally different feel to a 6061 and 7005 tubing.

I thought someone would suggest Rigid Forks and I have to say I'm thinking the same. I have ordered a set of PACE RC31 forks from the USA but am still waiting for them to arrive. Just couldn't resist putting the bike together and trying a set of Manitou's.

The forks do work well with the frame but with the thinner standard size tubing the look just doesn't seem right. I think the frame does look a little front heavy. As soon as I get them fitted I will post a pic to see what people think 8)

Bravado

I had a team issue in Team Colours one of these in 14 inch size, they were the top end frame pre Zaskar.
Wish I'd never sold it, beautiful ride, a nice set of Pace 35 or 36 series would look nice and work well or Judy Sl's in yellow?

Look's great 8) , there's absolutely no way i could build or even keep a bike anywhere near that couch or carpet though, i'd have grease and oil marks everywhere
