I have 2 sets of forks and I cant make my mind up, Bontragers are lighter, look better (I reckon anyway), are more in keeping with era etc-

so why do I want to put the Groovys on?

Also Groovy are 10mm longer

Which do you reckon chaps?

To be honest, you need to figure out wich fork gives you the best handling....(..if it will be a rider  ). The Ho Down will probably make it a little more "lazy" than the Bonty's
Both forks are pretty nice, would buy a Salsa a la carte for the Bonty forks, a Groovy for the Ho Down and fit some Direct Drive's on the Specialized

It will def. be a rider- I am actually desperate to get out on the thing! frame is really light (like REALLY light!- about 4lbs) and I've got a nice light wheelset too. Gonna build up as a SS and use as my daily blast...

I should try to get some direct drive forks really- the thing is I have a CK aheadset on the way and I'm pretty sure all 1" direct drive forks are threaded.

Looks to me the Bonty's are threaded also?

Going to go against the grain here and say the Groovys.

In the pics above IMHO the Groovy looks to give a more favourable riding posistion - they also look like they will flex less.

Just my opinion though.

M :D
